We are currently in that really awkward time where it's neither hot nor cold, you don't know if you need to don a coat or a vest and sandals are a risky business - queue transitional dressing. Don't be burrowing away your Summer dresses just yet as they can definitely work for a transitional look with boots and layering. I am totally obsessed with this Doen milkmaid style dress and although it's definitely a summer piece, It can definitely work for Autumn too with a few styling tweaks. Here I've paired it with my ByFar ankle boots from last year and then layered over with my new H&M wool coat and I think it looks great!
You can apply this to many a midi or maxi Summer dress too by adding socks with your sandals, chunky knit cardigans and jumpers or even layering a roll neck underneath as it gets colder - voila!
