Testing Out Monki Jeans

Jeans! A constant wardrobe staple for me but something i've wanted to highlight recently as one should never underestimate the power of a good fitting pair of jeans! I've partnered with Monki on this post to try out a few pairs of their jeans and report back to you guys on my thoughts and feelings. I tried the Taiki x-long in black, the Yoko classic blue and the Lkmo in indigo blue.

First up - the Taiki jeans in black are high waisted and straight legged and I opted for the longer length (however they are still cropped on me! I'm 5ft 11 for ref). I love the style and fit of these and think they're super flattering in black too. I find that black jeans are easier to style colour palette wise, although don't get me wrong I do love a classic blue too which they also come in! I styled them here with this beige jacket of dreams, some chunky canvas trainers and my signature beret.

Next up the Yoko jeans in classic blue - IMO these are the perfect blue denim and they are a lovely cut too, with a high waist and wide leg. A very Seventies style which I love and they are so comfy to wear too. Although they are supposed to be full length, I really like where they sit on me with a slight crop and think they would look great with a ruffle blouse and chunky boot too! I styled them here for a casual look with these canvas chunky trainers and ribbed polo top.

Finally, I tried the Lkmo jeans in retro indigo and they are a straight cut, mid rise relaxed fit. Love the colour of these too, very similar to the Yoko, however definitely more of a casual style I'd say. I styled them here with this velvet oversized polo and some black heeled boots which I think makes for the perfect elevated casual look.

Overall I'm a big fan of Monki Denim and think my fave pair are the Lkmo jeans which are just such a classic go-to style for me. Monki are offering 20% off all denim jeans online and in-store from today until 1st March if you fancy some - shop now!
