I'm pretty sure I used to have a pair of shoes the same as these when I was around five, and almost 25 years on I'm clearly still a massive fan. These were very much an indulgent purchase i'm not going to lie, however I think it's safe to say they are an absolute wardrobe staple and a very, very 'me' shoe. I've had my beady eye on them for ages now and I'm overjoyed that they're finally mine. They're a very nostalgic style that I absolutely adore, and I have umpteen (a great, underused word IMO) outfit ideas spinning around in my head already. The number one being this here five year old school girl look - AKA Rachael 24 years ago. In my adult years I've always been a fan of dressing like a child (cue dungarees, Peter Pan collars and gingham school-style dresses) and so these shoes were a must-have-absolutely-need-can't-live-without situation for me.

As I write this I've worn them three times already (in three days of owning them so already working hard on that cost per wear!) and they are working so well within my wardrobe and are really comfy too. In terms of sizing I'd say they're a pretty standard fit, if not ever so slightly small - I'm usually a UK6 and I got a UK6.5 so I'd say you'd be fine with your usual size should you be thinking of investing in them too!
