A few Sundays ago I was invited to attend the Scoop AW17 trade show to take a look at new brands and collections for the season ahead. This began with a presentation from Rosie Fortescue on her new super snazzy jewellery collection, followed by me turning into magpie mode and discovering some absolute gems. Let's discuss...
Rosie Fortescue Jewellery
After Rosie had taken us through a little bit about herself, her inspirations and her latest collection I popped down to her stand to have a little nosey - and I wasn't disappointed. RFJ's latest jewellery offerings include these super snazzy zig-zag handcuffs, stacking rings and tiny ear hoops and her ethos is all about mix and match metals with an emphasis on fun and playful accessories. If you didn't know you needed a hand cuff in your life you do now!
Possibly one of my favourite discoveries of the day, Chupi is an Irish fine jewellery brand offering an array of beautiful gems, almost all of which are right up my street! From stars and moons to star sign necklaces and pressed old Irish pennies, Chupi designs such beautiful pieces. They were kind enough to send me a piece from the collection and naturally I selected this dreamy Aquarius star sign necklace in gold. I'm so obsessed with the packaging too as I am a sucker for a cute quote and some fancy font. Probably won't be taking this off for the foreseeable - love love love!
Very minimalistic, Matthews modern designs caught my attention as I was meandering through the stalls at Scoop. I love the shapes and clean lines of his jewellery, and everything is so simple but effective. The upside down tear drop and 3/4 hoop earrings were a couple of my fave pieces but hey, it's all a yes from me.
Anna + Nina
Not a one to pass by a golden palm tree without stopping and taking a closer look (obvs), this was what initially drew me into the Amsterdam based Anna + Nina collection. Full of trinkets and charms, stars and palm trees - the magpie in me was very excited about this collection. Everything is very eclectic and reflects the two designers travels to India and Bali which is where the pieces are made. How very charm-ing! (soz).
So there we have it, some jazzy jewels that have caught my eye recently - I cant wait to be adorned.
