We are thoroughly in the thick of that in-between season feeling, where you're not quite sure if a leg can be bared or a jacket not worn; one minute its blazing sunshine and the next its blowing gale and pissing it down. We're desperate to sport those new season Springy pieces but not over confident it's quite the weather just yet - queue the midi skirt. This in-between weather means that above the knee hemlines are a bit of a risk, however with a midi length skirt you're a bit more covered and can pair with a roll neck on top to balance it out too. They feel like you're dressed for Spring should it fancy making an appearance, however if not, then you don't look too ridiculous baring all either.
This gingham button down number is from Monsoon via Very and I'm ob-sessed with it. I love a bit of gingham and its linen too which is one of my fave fabrics to wear come Spring/ Summer. It's the perfect trans-seasonal skirt for me as I'm wearing it now with boots and a roll neck (black would work just as well as white) and ankle boots, then come Summer I'll pair it will sandals and a cami or trainers and a tee - the possibilities are endless!
