So if you follow me on Instagram I’m sure you will have seen that last week I launched my very own bag with the wonderful Fonott! I couldn’t have been any more excited to collaborate and work on this project with Hajni (the one woman band behind Fonott) and alongside the lovely Charlotte Jacklin. It was around this time last year that Hajni launched Fonott bags and got in touch with me asking to send me one of her beautiful Audrey baskets. Obviously as a massive basket enthusiast I was overjoyed at the thought of receiving one and had only just gone freelance with my blog too, so this was such a lovely start to last year for me. I absolutely love supporting independent, artisanal brands and it was love at first discovery with Fonott. Not only do I love everything Hajni designs, but I feel so passionate about her brand values too - supporting sustainability, mindfulness and full transparency end to end.
So THE BAG! The Pouch itself is an already existing FONOTT design, and their take on the century-old Japanese furoshiki bag design that can transform a piece of fabric into the cutest of mini bags with the help of their signature basket handles. For my design I opted for brown satin with white polka dot and called her Yasmin, named after my amazing Mama. She used to wear a very similar print dress when I was little (v. pretty woman too!) and recently gave it to me because I was so obsessed so I couldn’t not name this after her. I am such a polka dot fan and wear a lot of brown tones so this fabric was an obvious choice for me and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out, so I really hope you all love it too!
Thanks so much to Hajni for asking me to do this, to have my own designed bag feels very surreal and is most definitely a pinch me moment!
Shop the Yasmin here and be sure to check out Charlotte's bag Margot too!
