Dress: & Other Stories, Bag: Paradise Row, Boots: Amazon Find
I feel like I'm never not looking for a dress like this. I love this off-white/ cream, peasant, smock type style of midi dress and i think I always will. It could quite easily pass for a vintage number with its lacy details and seventies styling but is actually new in from high street fave of mine, & Other Stories. It was love at first sight (obviously) and it's one of those dresses that you put on and just feel great in. I also think it's really trans-seasonal too as it will look great with a leather jacket thrown over in the colder months too. As London is still in the middle of a crazy heatwave it's actually a bit too hot for this currently with it's three quarter length sleeves (it's too hot for anything but a bikini tbf) but I was just so desperate to sport it I was willing to endure the over-heating.
I love the square neck line of this and the length is perfect on me too, which is rare for a midi dress as i'm so tall so they usually end up being a just-past-the-knee dress. I feel I've been buying a lot of white and cream at the moment too and just feel really drawn to pale tones - not exactly ideal when you're the clumsiest girl in the world but whatever. I decided to pair it with this super cute bag by East London indie brand Paradise Row - I'm such a fan of their bags (and they're all made in East London too!) - and these snakey western boots by Amazon's fashion label Find (obsessed with them) and I feel v. Florence I must say! So, all in all I just wanted to declare my love for this new wardrobe addition and discuss how a new dress can really lift your mood and spark loads of new styling ideas.
