A Velvet Jumpsuit: Two Ways

More from me on the festive dressing front! But this time, a bit of versatile festive dressing for you; a piece that can be worn come day or night and in many different ways. Ladies and gents - I give you the velvet jumpsuit. To be fair these rules apply to many a jumpsuit not just the velvet variety, however in festive keeping we're going with this number - cords luxe cousin. I do love a jumpsuit; a complete outfit in one and something a little different from the standard dress option.

I'm adamant this can be both dressy and casual and doesn't always just have to be paired with the obvious option of a fancy pair of heels and an evening bag. The first look i've opted for is the more dressy out of the two and I have styled it with my classic Chanel pumps, Mansur Gavriel circle bag (sans strap as i feel this always makes it a little bit more dressy and lady-like) and a red lip (Charlotte Tilbury Tell Laura). I also added my new Milktooth flower earrings that i'm a bit obsessed with to finish off the the outfit too. Pretty simple but effective I'd say and a suitable option for pretty much every christmas/ new year/ birthday party you've got in the calendar for the foreseeable.

Option two is the more laid-back casual look, paired with my trusty cream seventies converse, a red beret and my Longchamp backpack. You can stay out all night in this bad boy and then wear it the next day too! You can also eat as many mince pies and pigs in blankets as you like whilst sporting it as it's SO comfortable and non-restrictive, yasssss! Obviously a vvvv. important factor over the festive season (and well, just anytime really when you like to eat as much as i do...). So, if you're after a party piece that works a little bit harder than the average star spangled mini dress, opt for a jumpsuit that you can wear come day or night.
