I love coats far too much.
As every winter comes around I eagerly scour the shops for a new addition and this year was no different. The thing is I always fall for about 647836 different ones and since my coat collection is quite literally, out of control, I have to draw the line at one (maybe two *emoji eyes*) solid investment, making it a BIG decision. I hate making decisions. Will it work with 80% of my wardrobe? Will it stand the test of time (both literally and metaphorically) and does it differ from all of my other options at home on the pegs? The latter question probably being the most important since I absolutely love to buy three thousand varieties of essentially the same thing.
When I spied this check number in Arket it was love at first sight, and I was actually pleasantly surprised at the price tag (it was £150 but it's so classic and well made I feel that it could have been more...) but not being the worlds best decision maker I kept it in mind and exited the shop as i'd also seen a dead nice choccy brown option in H&M too. If you follow me on Instagram then I'm sure you are well aware of my predicament and thank you if you voted to aid my decision making! Before I asked the audience I think I was slightly more swayed towards this option anyway and then when the results came in and the majority of you confirmed that this was in fact the right way to go, I immediately ordered it (you can get 10% off your first order online if you sign up!) and never looked back. I love the masculine shape of it, the oversized fit and the really subtle navy and dark green check. It does come up slightly big i'd say though so bear this in mind if you're eyeing it up too! All in all, it's a yes from me and an excellent winter coat option.
