It's that time of year again. My favourite time. The only ever time it's acceptable to watch The Grinch on repeat whist eating a six pack of mince pies to yourself. Yes, you guessed it, time for all of the velvet and sparkles and shine (oh my)!! AKA Christmas! (Soz, it's not even December yet I really need to CTFO). I am a metallic/lurex/velvet enthusiast throughout the year anyway so as you can imagine I get particularly over excited when the festive season approaches. I much prefer Winter dressing on the whole to be honest but party season in particular fills me with joy and puts me into outfit planning overdrive. And when your ratio of snazzy outfit: festive event just isn't adding up (is the postman lost orrr?), sparkly lurex dresses must simply overflow into day wear. Like I need an excuse, surely it's not an offence to sparkle during daylight hours? Answers on a postcard. So, I plan on supplying you with a multitude of festive dressing posts sprinkled throughout the next month, starting with this dreamy silver girl dress and star bag combo. I got the dress last Christmas but they have a few v. similar in & Other Stories this year too if you're in the market for a metallic lurex number (I mean, who isn't?) and the navy star print dream bag is the latest offering from The Cambridge Satchel Company.
